eGIX, Inc Lends Helping Hand
in the Crusade against Homelessness
Carmel, Ind. –
Steve Johns, president and CEO of
Carmel-based eGIX Inc., today announced eGIX has partnered with the REALTOR ®
Foundation as the title sponsor for the annual golf outing
fundraising event scheduled to commence July 14th,
2005.
eGIX has contributed a sizeable donation in
support of the REALTOR ® Foundation as it launched its new
mission of assisting homelessness providers in central Indiana.
Those funds have been used to subsidize the two major
fundraising events of the Foundation – the golf outing to be
hosted in July and a Live & Silent Auction in October.
eGIX serves as the title sponsor of both
events. Since 100% of the proceeds of both events go directly to
fund grants to providers of homelessness services, eGIX’s
involvement translates directly into helping central Indiana
residents without safe, decent or affordable housing get a new
start.
Founded in
1984 by the Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS®, the
REALTOR® Foundation provides REALTORS® the opportunity to make a
difference by supporting the people, projects and services that
shape the quality of their community.
In 2003, the
REALTOR® Foundation announced its new mission to assist in
fighting the serious problem of homelessness in central Indiana.
The Foundation made a long-term commitment to working with
organizations in and around Marion County that reach out to
victims who have lost their homes due to domestic violence,
natural disaster, job loss and other tragedies. Our focus is on
breaking the cycle of emergency shelters and homelessness,
putting victims on the path to stability.
Since the launch of the new mission, the
REALTOR® Foundation – with eGIX’s help – has distributed more
than $100,000 in grants to four organizations in Marion, Hancock
and Hendricks counties.
